Resolute

The Next-Generation Submarine Escape Equipment

The Resolute Submarine Escape System is Survitec’s most advanced, fully welded solution for submariner safety. Designed with innovative lightweight materials, Resolute eliminates the need for adhesive manufacturing, reducing environmental impact and increasing manufacturing reliability. With improved escape capacity and a depth rating of 300 metres, Resolute delivers exceptional performance and survivability in critical situations.

Welded Engineering with Sustainability at its Core

The Resolute Submarine Escape System uses a fully welded construction, eliminating toxic adhesives and reducing environmental impact. This innovative design enhances durability, improves production efficiency, and supports Beaufort’s Sustainability Goals.

Performance

When underwater emergencies occur, a trusted, proven partner is essential. Our submarine escape and abandonment systems are engineered for precision, speed, and survivability, delivering reliable performance under extreme pressure and time-critical conditions. From deep escape scenarios to surface evacuation, they enable rapid, controlled responses when it matters most.

Innovation

We are continually advancing our submarine escape and abandonment capabilities to meet the evolving demands of naval operations. Through new material sciences, technological innovation and strategic partnerships, we push the boundaries of survivability — developing solutions that set new standards in performance, integration and reliability beneath the surface.

Protection

Sub-surface emergencies demand absolute confidence in protective systems. Our escape and abandonment solutions are designed to safeguard submariners from depth to recovery, delivering thermal insulation, flotation, and life-support performance under the harshest conditions. Proven through rigorous testing, they provide the protection needed when submariner survival is the priority.

Product Benefits

Faster Donning:
Designed to be donned in under 3 minutes 15 seconds, allowing for rapid emergency response.

One-Size-Fits-All:
The integrated cinching system ensures the suit fits all body types while reducing excess material, improving both comfort and functionality.

Sustainable Manufacturing:
The fully welded design eliminates toxic adhesives, reducing environmental impact and supporting Survitec’s commitment to sustainability.

Key Features

Reduced Air Usage:
Optimised hood volume reduces onboard air demand by 14%, allowing for increased crew escape capacity compared to legacy systems.

Advanced Buoyancy Control:
The integrated relief valve maintains buoyancy at no more than 35 kg, ensuring safe ascent even for the smallest submariners.

Smaller, More Efficient Liferaft:
Resolute’s liferaft is 12% smaller than previous models, improving ease of use and reducing snag hazards during escape.

Improved Thermal Protection:
Resolute is 2.3 times warmer than earlier models, ensuring better survival rates at the surface by maintaining higher body temperatures.

Certified and Reliable:
Resolute has been extensively tested, including at the MOD-approved QinetiQ facility, and is qualified for operations at depths up to 300 metres. With over 40 individual tests, including ascent trials in a 30-metre water column, Resolute meets the highest standards of reliability and safety.
